about us

The Raya Wildlife and Forests Conservancy in Garissa-Sankuri is envisioned as a community-driven, landscape-level initiative that protects endangered species, restores native habitats, and enhances the livelihoods and cultural heritage of local communities. With a participatory governance model and strong partnerships with governmental and non-governmental organizations, Raya is positioned to address both conservation and human development challenges in north-eastern Kenya. This profile brings together conservation objectives, community engagement practices, governance strategies, and a realistic assessment of challenges and opportunities-characteristics seen in established conservancies in Garissa and neighboring regions. PROTECT ENDANGERED SPECIES.
